I’m Teaching at the Indiana Quilt Show — September 2026

Alice Ridge teaching at the Indiana Quilt Show, September 24–26, 2026, Wayne County Fairgrounds, Richmond, Indiana

I am so excited to share that I will be teaching at The Indiana Quilt Show this September! The show runs September 24–26, 2026 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Richmond, Indiana — and it is going to be a wonderful event with 45+ vendors, 200+ quilts on display, 25+ classes, and 10+ free lectures.

I will be teaching four of my favorite classes. Whether you are new to handwork or have been stitching for years, I would love to have you in class with me.

    Classes I’m teaching

    • Mock Molas — colorful, intricate designs inspired by the traditional textile art of the Kuna people of Panama, recreated in felt and flannel.
    • Pojagi — a beautiful Korean patchwork tradition using translucent fabrics sewn with a unique flat seam technique.
    • Japanese Sashiko and Boro — traditional and contemporary Japanese needlework using simple running stitches to create stunning geometric patterns. A kit is available — see my website for details.
    • Hawaiian Applique — bold, symmetrical designs cut from a single folded piece of fabric, a technique unique to the quilting traditions of Hawaii.

Classes fill up fast! Head over to theindianaquiltshow.com to register and see the full schedule. I hope to see you in Richmond this September!

My Weekend at the Heritage Quilters Guild Show in New Lenox, IL

Booth display of Alice Ridge Quilts at the Heritage Quilters Guild show in Lenox, IL, showcasing various quilt patterns and kits, including designs of animals, flowers, and patriotic themes.

Whoo-hoo! Another weekend, another quilt show – and what a fantastic one it was! This past weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Heritage Quilters Guild Show in New Lenox, Illinois, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the warm reception Alice Ridge Quilts received.

A Burst of Color and Creativity at My Booth

Setting up my booth is always a labor of love, and seeing everything come together is such a rewarding feeling. I brought along some of my favorite quilts to display – from playful animals like turtles and frogs to intricate nature-inspired patterns. I even made sure to include my popular patriotic quilt with its bold stars and stripes, which many of you admired!

One of my goals was to have something for everyone. Whether you’re into animals, flowers, or more traditional designs, I made sure to stock the booth with a variety of quilting kits. Each kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions and all the materials you need to create a masterpiece, whether you’re a quilting newbie or a seasoned expert.

Meeting Fellow Quilters – My Favorite Part!

One of the absolute best parts of quilt shows is connecting with all of you! It was such a joy to meet so many quilting enthusiasts who share my passion for this art. Some of you stopped by to browse the quilts, some to pick up kits, and others just to chat and share your own quilting stories. It’s always inspiring to hear about the projects you’re working on, and I loved being able to offer tips and ideas.

It really warms my heart to know that many of you are excited to dive into the kits I’ve put together. I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Whether it’s the llama kit that caught your eye or the vibrant floral patterns, I know you’re going to make something amazing.

    Looking Forward to More Shows

If you couldn’t make it to the Heritage Quilters Guild Show this time around, don’t worry! There are plenty more quilt shows on the horizon, and I’ll be bringing even more designs and kits to each one. Quilt shows are a wonderful way to meet fellow crafters, get inspiration, and, of course, shop for your next project.

Be sure to follow me on social media or sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss out on where I’ll be next.

    Thank You!

I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out to the New Lenox show. Your support means the world to me! Whether you purchased a kit, or just stopped by to chat, I appreciate each and every one of you.

    Until next time, happy quilting!
